The same platform answers four very different problems. Pick the one that sounds like your week.
Your hardware should not decide your architecture
Most vendors make a customer answer two questions at procurement — which control plane, and whose software — then charge them in hardware when either answer changes. On an IDL access point, both stay open.
The same access point attaches to an integrated miniAC, a services gateway, a carrier multi-service gateway or a cloud controller — and moves between them without a different build, a different SKU or a different operations model.
